ABOUT ME

hmm, where to start? i started this webpage when i was 16 and wrote mostly about stupid sh*t ("OMG, i got my nails done for prom and now i can't get my contacts out..."), continued writing through college ("OMG, i've pulled four all nighters in a row and i'm still not done studying")...and now it's 2006, eight years after my first post, and i'm still writing about stupid sh*t ("OMG, i became a CPA and now all i do is work.").

i'm not quite sure what the point of this section is, considering that 98% of the people who read this page are my friends who are too lazy/busy to actually call me and therefore must resort to reading this page at work in order to know what's going on in my life. yeah, you dorks know who you are. but for the 2% of random people who wander to this page by accident (sorry it's so boring, try E! online for hours of entertainment) and still want to know more about me, here goes:

name: connie cheng. no, i'm not related to connie chung. yes, i'm sick of people asking me that.

dob: 1/5/82 - i'm a capricorn, which, according to yahoo horoscopes, is basically a disciplined workaholic who values social status and is ridiculously materialistic.

occupation: cpa at ernst & young, working in in corporate tax consulting. if you had told me five years ago that i'd end up being an accountant, i probably would have killed myself.

status: single, but not really looking to mingle (check back here in a month, though).

school: UCLA - go bruins! my alma mater is the one thing that's holding me back from getting an MBT from SUC (seriously).

what i like: music (opera, 2pac, late 90's hip hop, late 19th century classical); shopping (purses, my biggest weakness...though i do love shoes too); cars (i WILL own a clk before i turn 30); dancing (though i don't go nearly enough); art history (i need a museum buddy!); my good friends and family (who else would i whine to 24/7?); intellectual AND inane conversations ("would you eat dog poop if i paid you $1000? okay, what about $10,000?"); witty men with nice smiles (no further comment necessary).

future plans: who knows. hopefully it involves a job that i love and a man that i can tolerate.
