APRIL 2005

happy april 15th!! i hope everybody finished their tax returns in time - just sent mine off yesterday from work in plain, uncertified envelopes. that was probably a dumb move. oh well. me & lynn headed down to costa mesa on saturday to do some shopping at the container store and south coast - came away with a hundred bucks worth of plastic organizers and a new LV bag that was $760 after i used my gift certificates. i was gonna link the picture from eluxury but apparently it is sold out, so use your imagination. or just go to the LV site and look up the papillion 30 in the daimer canvas print. to make things worse, jenny-the-instigator called me on saturday to tell me that she finally came across the gucci hobo that i was in love with - it was the very last bag in stock. so i bought that too, for another seven hundred bucks. i'm such a dumbass. but as jenny put it (and these are her exact words), "u single, u makin' money, why not?"

i'll tell you why not - because i won't be able to afford sh*t by the time i'm thirty. i cringe (and get a little bit excited) when i think about what's next - balenciaga, bottega, hermes? one can always dream. anyways, to balance all the reckless spending i did this past week, i went and opened with my IRA a couple of days ago and budgeted out my expenses for the next six months. now whether i stick to it is a completely different story...

so i was sent to the E&Y irvine office on von karman yesterday to work on getting a draft LLC return out the door - i was there for a full 12 hours, and then i drove up to tarzana to stay at lynn's friend's place cuz i had to be at a client in VALENCIA at 9:00 this morning. lemme tell you, there's nothing more fun than sitting on the 405 for HOURS driving all over the place while gas prices are nearing $3/gallon. i briefly contemplated crashing my car into a divider in order to escape my grueling schedule, but decided against it because i refuse to die in a japanese car - if i'm going out, it'll be in a clk, at the very least. ha. so i got stuck in traffic coming back down from valencia in the afternoon, and decided to make a two hour detour to planet salon in beverly hills to get my hair chopped off by a gay dude wearing more eyeliner than me. it was a fabulous cut. now it's time for bed so that i can wake up refreshed only to have to sit in my car for another hour to get to work in the morning. ARGHHH.
